What is the minimum camera equipment a photographer to go professional?August 19, 2020 at 6:31 pm #7561Heidi RondakKeymaster
I think, this really depends on the style of photography they are aiming for. It’s always an option to start small (e.g. with a semi-professional DSLR and a lens in the range of 24-70 mm or similar). I think most cameras – as long as they can shoot RAW images – can be used for commission work because the resolution should be okay at all times nowadays. And even with little equipment, there’s a market for your photography.
Renting different cameras or lenses in case you need other features or functions can be helpful too. This way you can test what suits your workflow best and consider buying the gear later.
I hope this helped a little – it’s a very individual matter for every photographer depending on their professional plans 🙂
